Commitments
During term time, the choir sings three services per week in the college chapel. The main evensongs on Sundays and Wednesdays involve the full choir and organists, while choral complines on Friday evenings provide an opportunity for smaller ensembles performing acapella.
Weekly commitments are as follows:
Sunday 16:30 – 17:45 Rehearsal
18:00 – 19:00 Choral Evensong
19:30 – 20:30 Formal Hall, preceded by sherry with the Speaker
Wednesday 17:10 – 18:00 Rehearsal
18:15 – 18:45 Choral Evensong
19:30 – 20:30 Formal Hall
Friday 17:10 – 18:45 Weekly Rehearsal
20:15 – 20:45 Rehearsal
21:00 – 21:30 Choral Compline
Further performances in various other venues like Ely Cathedral and St Martin in the Fields are also scheduled during the term. All travel expenses are covered.

We take care to make sure that every member feels welcome and included, and our regular social events - ranging from karaoke evenings to ice skating - provide something for everybody.

Further discretionary funding for various musical pursuits is also provided by The John Clough Memorial Fund, kindly given in memory of John Clough (Organ Scholar 1970-73) for the purpose of promoting musical life in the College, specifically that of the College Choir. The fund currently provides up to £200 for the Senior Tutor and Dean of Chapel to allocate each year. Please contact the Tutorial Office for more information regarding this.

- £100 per annum for Choral Scholars
- Regular free singing lessons with our fantastic teacher Sam Evans. Arrangements can also be made to fund lessons with external teachers.

- Regular solo opportunities in services and concerts
- Annual subsidised tours abroad (recent destinations include the USA, Greece and Hong Kong. And Bradford.)
